World History & Bible I

This course is designed for 9th graders and 10th graders. World History students will study the story of mankind from creation to the twenty-first century with an emphasis on how God has been at work and the relationship between cause and effect in historical events. There is a writing component which will entail research on a specific country other than the United States.

Bible Component: Students will read many scriptures from the Old Testament through the period of the early church with an emphasis on the relevance of scripture to the study of history.

Curriculum: Notgrass Exploring World History Part 1 (Creation Through the Middle Ages) and Part 2 (The Renaissance to the Present), 2014 Editions, plus the Notgrass Exploring World History Quiz Book, Answer Key and Student Review. The school library has several copies to borrow; check with the front office. Students will NOT need the literature pack of books that is sometimes sold with this curriculum.

1.0 Credit (World History), 0.5 Credit (Bible I)
