MS Language Arts II

This course is designed for middle school students (7th and 8th grades) and uses Bob Jones University English and Literature. Students will learn communication skills through the context of great literature. The course creates a deeper understanding of grammar, spelling, vocabulary, writing mechanics and reading comprehension.

This course uses lecture, hands-on projects, spelling tests, grammar tests and a writing mechanics intensive.

Curriculum (both 7th and 8th grades use these books): BJU Writing and Grammar 7, 4th Edition. Novels: Daddy Long Legs by Jean Webster, A Lantern in Her Hand by Bess Streeter Aldrich, Eric Liddell by Janet and Geoff Benge, and God's Smuggler by Brother Andrew.

7th and 8th Grades

Upper school classes meet in two-hour blocks Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Core high school courses can be taken at the honors level with administration approval. Questions about placement? Call (407) 688-2445 or ask Guidance.
